Captain Pamphile or The Adventures of Captain Pamphile is an 1839 French adventure novel by Alexandre Dumas. It was aimed at children and had a strong anti-slavery message. It was translated into English in 1850.
This gold leafed hardcover French edition was published by Calmann Levy in 1877 and has black and white illustration throughout by Bertall. It is in good condition considering its age. Shelf worn in spine area and corners, Appears to be missing a page right before the beginning of the story. A very rare edition.
