At the start of 2020, cartoonist Karl Christian Krumpholz (30 Miles of Crazy!, The City Was Never Going to Let Go, One Minute to Wonderland) thought it would be a good idea to start a daily comic about his wife’s then-upcoming surgery and recovery. As the year went on, Karl continued to do comics documenting daily life dealing with the pandemic, quarantine, social distancing, and protests during 'This Weird Year'.
The third volume of The Lighthouse in The City collects all of Karl's daily comics from July through the end of September 2020.
